Are you a disciplined writer or do you write in fits and starts?

I try to be disciplined but it doesn't always work.. I need to be in the mood and yet I try to get up early most mornings and get to the 'office'. The office is a sunny terrace overlooking the Med. I kick myself each and every day to remind myself how lucky I am. When the work flows it really flows and 5000 words on a good day is not unusual. I like my life to be in order and other work completed, that way I can really get going. And if things aren't happening for me I find a glass of beer or a nice Rioja helps to lubricate those creative thoughts.
